Medical Advantage Group (MAG) is a consulting and management services company providing expertise for all types of physician organizations, including group practices, IPAs and PHOs, on the design and implementation of clinical integration strategies to maximize quality and efficiency outcomes. MAG provides specialized knowledge of the development of legal, governance, and management structures; win-win relationships with hospitals and health plans, and personal web-based data analytics for actionable performance informatics, and proposed office-based technologies like e-prescribing, patient registries and secure communications. MAG provides these capabilities for over 50 clients with over 6,000 physicians.
MAG is owned by the Michigan State Medical Society, American Physicians and approximately 250 Michigan physicians. MAG was formed through the merger of Michigan Medical Advantage (MMA) and Winchester Consulting (WC) in 1998.
The health care market continues to change today, and so do our clients' needs. MAG's service offering has evolved in response. MAG has expanded its services to help health care providers manage the demands being placed on them by the expanding role of information and technology in the delivery of health services and the evolution of health service financing mechanisms.
